Birthdays

We have had quite a few birthdays one after another.

First was Aaron's.  His was on the 15th and that weekend we had dinner at our place for a few friends to celebrate his birthday.  It was a casual evening and we had lasagne and orange pudding (which was saved by the girls as I messed it up completly !)

It was a great evening sitting around and chatting and catching up with everyone.  We had a house full of kids as well and they had fun playing soccer in the garden till around 22h00 !

The 17th was dads birthday.  Tanya flew up from Durbs so we all went out to lunch on Sunday to the Chiefs Boma, where dad had his 70th dinner a year before.  The 18th was also Nelson Mandela's birthday but he couldn't make our lunch !

It was a great lunch, and after lunch we sat outside on the patio having our coffee while the boys played near the dam, skipping stones and trying to hit the "hippos" in the dam.  They were shocked to see a huge rat swimming across the dam !

It was a lazy afternoon and being winter and chilly, it was nice to sit and have the sun on your back warming you up.

It was Solly's birthday on the 20th so on Friday night we went back to the Chiefs Boma for supper.

It really is a nice place and value for money.  The evening atmosphere is awesome and after dinner the "Zulu King" danced infront of our table for Solly.  Campbell was taking the photo's and was very wary of this guy as he was very loud.  Everytime he came toward Campbell, Campbell bolted !

He did however go up and play the bongos with the guys and loved it.

It was a busy week so happy birthday Aaron, dad and Solly.  Hope you had a lekka day.
