Last Sunday we went to fetch our new kitten. Aaron & I had chosen her when the boys were on church camp but wanted to wait till we were back from Cape Town before fetching her.
She is cross Somali and Turkish Van which are such a nice breed - I won't bore you with all the characteristics (you can look it up on the Internet if you want) but basically they are very social and love having company. They are affectionate and funny enough, love water.
We put her in our shirts on the way home as she was very scared in the car, and she loved it - all warm and cosy and eventually she stuck her head out to see what was going on around her.
Little Mia is just too sweet. She is only 9 weeks old but has settle in so well. We haven't introduced her to the dogs just yet as I think Murray's head is bigger than her, so we will wait till she is fully settled and then let them meet !
The Somali breed are also know as "little foxes" and this is so true with Mia. She pounces around and stands up on her back legs "boxing" her front paws in the air when she plays.
She insists on sleeping on top of you, so Gina's nose will be a bit put out as she thinks that's her place. At night she cuddles right up to you, and has to be touching you to be able to sleep.
We are just loving her and the boys think she is just the best, although Minky is of thought often.
