Night at the Spur

Last night we went to the Broadacres Spur for a school fun raising evening.

It was hosted by the prefects and 1st team rugby boys, who served us (along with the teachers) and then had to wash dishes - Hudson was very glad he has a few more years before 1st year rugby !

It was such fun and we sat with some friends of ours and chatted the whole evening. The kids ran a mock outside and had a ball.

The usual chedder melt burgers were ordered - what else do you order at the Spur ! (sorry to the international guys reading this blog)

Mr Pick, who is Hudson's Afrikaans teacher, served drinks while our principal served some parents.

We got home at around 21h00 and the boys were finished this morning & I can see an early night for them tonight.

Hudson got up early as he has soccer and that is his highlight of the week, while Campbell eventually rolled out of bed around 06h40, complaining about everything !

I am not sure how much the school made, but the Spur was full and there were queues at the front door waiting to get in - the poor waiters were run off their feet & I don't think they will be quite the same again !

It was a really fun night and did a lot for the school spirit.
