Our school has a annual camp out for the grade 6 & 7's and Hudson was very chuffed to be able to go.
They set up tents on the field - boys on one side and girls on the other with a huge "no mans land" in the middle.
All the tent openings have to face one way (which we only found out after putting the tent up) for "control" purposes.
Hudson and James shared a tent and had an absolute joll. They were both SO excited about the whole thing. We have had terrible thunder storms nearly every night this year and were a little worried that their camp out night would be no different - luckily there was no rain at all (although I think they would have enjoyed sleeping in a tent in the rain).
They had a braai and played games and swam up to 12 o'clock that night.
We fetched him at 8 the next morning and he was so tired. He managed to get through the day and evening without sleeping but his eyes got redder and redder.
We were out last night at a friends for a braai so they were both runnning around so when we got back he was finished.
He is already talking about next years.............
