We have a St Stithians boy

Well the wait and tension is finally over - we received a letter from St Stithians that Hudson has been accepted for grade 8 next year !  The fact that it came on April fools day was not a joke at all but it was genuine.

We only applied to 2 schools and the wait nearly killed us (well me anyway) but we finally got our letter !

Grade 8 2012

Following your son’s recent interview, we would like to offer him a Grade 8 2012 position at St Stithians Boys’ College.

It is with pleasure that I attach his letter of offer, and look forward to your response.

Hudson was at a friends house so I called him to tell him, and he was SO chuffed.  He went to the "Saints Experience" day a few weeks ago where they wrote a test and then were shown around the school, and ended their day off by watching the 1st rugby team play the first match of the season.  They sat in the stands with all the Saints boys and did all the war crys etc and afterwards, when I fetch him, he was beaming from ear to ear and said to me, "mom, this is where I want to be".

We played our first rugby match against them on Thursday night (and got slaughted !) and just sitting there and watching, felt so right and made it even more tense wondering if we would make it, as we hadn't yet received our letter.

Next weekend our 1st rugby team has been invited to the Saints rugby festival and I think we will enjoy it more (even if we get slaughted again) knowing that we will be part of this next year.

The next decision is whether we move Campbell across for grade 5 or let him finish off at Bryanston, but we will start that process next term and see what we will do.

But we are in and its "All for One and One for All."
