I only got into CT around 19h00 and Aaron fetched me, dashed off to the hotel to shower and change as we were meeting Collette and George for supper at Dias Tavern - an AWESOME Portuguese place that you just have to go to when in CT.
We had an awesome supper (as usual) and Collette and I danced the night away.
The next morning we planned on meeting them at the Neederburg wine estate in Paarl and after getting a little lost and being a bit late we found the place and spent a few hours tasting wine with different cheeses - it was really nice and relaxed and very well done.
Saturday night was Collette's 40th at Madame Zingaras and it was a fantastic evening. There was plenty good food, wonderful show and even more dancing. I just LOVE Madame Zingaras so it was a real treat for me.
Sunday was a late wake up and then we headed off to the Waterfront for breakfast/brunch with the Dells and their friends. It was a riot of a breakfast and go out of hand with people putting their shoes into baskets in exchange for exotic beers, ordering of oysters and mussels and other really nice food you dont usually have for breakfast. We nearly missed our flight !
It was an awesome weekend and a wonderful birthday.
