Hudson has just finished exams and although there were a few tense moments during the studing with threats of repeating the grade, he knuckled down and studied.
He has got a few results back - Science, English and Tech at 80%, Maths 86% and Afrikaans (which he battles so with) 72%. We are still waiting for EMS, Zulu (yikes), History and Geography, but I am confident that he has done as well in those.
He has also been chosen for the school rugby team to play in the Easter festival at KES this year. It's going to mean plenty of training - we got the training schedule, which includes some early mornings, as well as during the school holidays, but he is up to it and is keen.
Last night we went to the Wahoo club night - Wahoo is the swimming club where they do swimming training, and once a month they have a gala for the clubs. Campbell competed and got two firsts (butterfly & breaststroke) and two seconds (backstroke and freestyle). He got ribbons which he was really chuffed with.
We also got his "Friday challenge" marks back (every Friday they do tests in English spelling, Afrikaans and Maths) and he is getting full marks for maths nearly every week.
His spelling needs to improve a bit and Afrikaans remains a challenge (seems languages is not our strength), but I am so chuffed with his results.
My boys are doing well and I am very proud of them - they are happy and confident which I suppose is all a mother could ask for, so the sports and test results are a bonus.
